Academic Forensic Pathology Incorporated (AFPi) is committed to maintaining your confidence and trust with respect to the privacy of the personally identifiable information we collect from you. This privacy policy sets forth our practices regarding collection, use and disclosure of information collected through or in connection with the AFP Journal website, AFPi store and AFPi corporate website. Personal data includes, for example, e-mail addresses, all billing information, and individual "tracking" data that captures and logs visitor activity on a Website or online service.

By accessing any areas of http://www.academicfp.com, www.afpjournal.com or store.academicfp.com users ("Users") agree to be legally bound and to abide by the terms set forth below. AFPi reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to revise this Privacy Statement. Users' continued use of this site following posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of such changes.

1. Collection of Personal Information

In order to provide you with the product(s) or service(s) you have requested, we need to collect and store directly from you your contact information such as name, e-mail address, and postal address. The User acknowledges that he or she may provide information regarding his or her tastes, ratings, and preferences and the User hereby specifically authorizes AFPi to use such information in connection with any online or offline offering or any electronic mail offerings directed to the User.

AFPI may collect or track (1) the e-mail addresses of visitors that communicate with AFPI via e-mail, (2) information knowingly provided by the visitor in online forms, registration forms, surveys, e-mail, the “Contact Us” section of the Site, and other online avenues (including, but not limited to, demographic, business profile, and personal profile data), (3) the home server domain names, e-mail addresses, type of client computer, files downloaded, search engine used, operating system, and type of Web browser of visitors to the Site, and (4) aggregate and user-specific information regarding which pages Site visitors access.

AFPI may place Internet “cookies” on visitors’ hard drives. Personal information provided by users through the Site, will be used in the operation of the Site and in order to provide services requested. Any personal information provided by you on any comments or review features may be read by other users, and could potentially be used by such third parties to send you unsolicited messages.

It is the obligation of users returning to the Site to learn of changes to the Privacy Statement since their last visit.

We retain the personal information we collect from you for as long as the information is relevant to our business purposes or until you request that we remove the data.

Registered users can view their profile containing personally identifiable information retained by AFPi regarding the user, which information has been voluntarily provided by a visitor to our site through an account registration.
